Alan Jeffries & Slim Pickins

The guitar has always been at the centre of Alan Jeffries’ life, whether he’s teaching, repairing, selling, writing, recording or playing. Alan doesn’t remember a time when he didn’t play the guitar and sing. He would often fall asleep at night on the couch while listening to his father’s bluegrass band practice in the living room and it wasn’t long before he was picking along with them. At the age of five, Alan began performing at bluegrass festivals and variety shows around Atlantic Canada.
