We are over the moon excited to announce That 1 Guy will be playing headlining sets Thursday and Friday

nights at this years Folly Fest! June 30th – July 2nd in The Village of Gagetown, NB.

For those who have seen T1G before, you know that this is the most exciting act we’ve ever brought to a Folly Fest stage. If you haven’t seen That 1 Guy before, be prepared to be amazed! Bored with conventional instruments, Mike Silverman set out to create his own instrument called The Magic Pipe.

“Standing at seven-feet-tall, the collection of swiveling pipes, metal gears, bass strings and electronic buttons forms the shape of a harp, but is played like a futuristic gutbucket” oh yeah.

This will be the only time this summer That 1 Guy will be rocking the Maritimes so these are 2 sets not to be missed! Check outwww.that1guy.com for more info and to watch That 1 Guy do what he does.

Banjo songster and 2 time Juno Award winner Old Man Luedecke is a rare type of musician. A songwriting one of such hopeful goodness rarer still.
In the tradition of solo banjo men and women of days gone by like Dock Boggs and Bascom Lunsford, Old Man Luedecke sings his songs accompanied only by his loving five string, foot stomps and the occaisional yodel. His songs are catchy melodic gems blending old-time sensibilities with an unusual vision and poetic sense.

Grand Theft Bus has yet to play a show in 2011. Since ringing in the New Year with their 10th anniversary shows the band has been dormant, hibernating in various parts of Canada having a well deserved snooze. Although busy individually with things such as life and other projects (the Olympic Symphonium, Heat and Lights, Senior Citizen, KISS,Slate Pacific…) they have been itching to rekindle their chemistry, get back in the lab, and create as a unit again. The band is happily unsure of where music will take them in this fresh new decade but are beyond excited at the prospect of steering this ol’ vessel into the unknown. Follyfest should find the band well rested and fully charged with new songs, new strings, clean laundry and the always amazing (just ask him..) Brad Perry!
