We’re keeping it Green!
Last Years Folly Fest was a huge environmental success; we sorted 100% of garbage removed from the site for recyclables and compost. Volunteers worked throughout the festival sorting refuse into the compost, recyclables, cardboard and trash bins provided at each garbage station.
Picaroons in general goes the extra mile in providing 100% biodegradable AND compostable beer cups for Folly Fest as well as other Picaroons sponsored events. These cups, along with all coffee grounds and food waste from the camping and vending area were moved off site for composting at a local farm.
We plan on continuing this practice of deligence and awareness of the impact such an event as this can have on the land. We will expand on what we learned from last year and be on the lookout for the blonde with the rubber gloves sorting trash!
